Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Ray, who resided in Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at her home. She was born May 8, 1961, in Santa Ana, California to William Andrew "Bill" Ray and Nadene (Miller) Ray. She was 55 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Ray; and one brother, Dennis Ray.

Cindy previously worked in the deli at Wal-Mart in Fort Smith, and she was a 1979 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Nadene Pound of Fort Smith; her sister, Lisa Hurst and husband Steve of Greenwood; her brother, Andrew Burke and Daniel of Pennsylvania; her two nieces, Miranda Watson and Kortney Rogers; and her "grandchildren", Faith and Nikoli, who called her Oma.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 17th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
