Obituary

Christopher Alan Parker, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 near Lavaca. He was born October 19, 1984 in Fort Smith to Teddy Alan Parker and Cathy Diane (Hice) Parker. He was 28 years old.

He was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Jessie Scott.

Chris was employed by Arkansas Poly in Van Buren. He was a 2003 graduate of Charleston High School and a graduate of Arkansas Tech University Ozark Campus. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Chicago Cubs fan, and was a member of Life Church in Charleston. He enjoyed detailing automobiles, and loved to play pranks on people.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 22nd, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Terry Scott and Rev. Bill Van Meter.

He is survived by his father and mother, Ted and Cathy Parker of Charleston; one sister, Keesha Parker and husband Roger of Barling; his paternal grandmother, Idell Parker Craig of Walnut Ridge, his maternal grandmother, Ann Scott of Paris, and maternal great-grandmother, Gloria Honea of Ozark; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Mark Bush, Neal Rice, Jessie Spiers, B.J. Krallman, Chase Rainwater, and Heath Haney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Chalfant, Lance Shepheard, Tyler Middleton, Mike Franklin, Dale Dooley, Brandon Fisher, Michael Robertson, David Haney, and Steve Haney.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night at the funeral home.
