Christine Ann Witek, 65, left us on Friday, July 17, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, but her heart always belonged to San Diego. Born on November 18, 1960, in La Mesa, California, to the late Chester Stanley Witek and Eugenia Victoria (Kopala) Witek, where she grew up riding horses with her siblings.
Christine's career was as varied as her interests. She worked as a hairstylist, a caregiver, and finally long-haul truck driver, a job she loved for the chance to see the country. A true San Diego soul, she cherished the beach, the Califonia lifestyle, and was a devoted Chargers fan. Above all, Christine adored her grandchildren, Summer and Landin Lyon, who were the pride and joy of her life.
She is survived by her children, Shane Lyon and wife Jodi and Xan Carrillo and partner Heather; her beloved grandchildren, Summer and Landin Lyon; her siblings, Ron Witek, Bob Witek and wife Sharon; nieces, Ashley, Kelsi and Chrissi Witek, Kathy Kajewski and husband Tim, and Sonya; and nephew, Kris Kajewski, father of Shane and Paul Lyon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugenia and Chester Witek; and father of Xan Bobby Carrillo.
Christine's life was a celebration of freedom, family, and football. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
