Lorene Christine Pierce, who resided in the Ursula Community near Charleston, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on March 10, 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late James W. Hobbs and Letha (Broughton) Hobbs. She was 73 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Melvin Lee Pierce, Jr., and two sons, Kevin Lee Pierce and Ronnie Cummings.

Christine was a retired truck driver for Tyson Foods, Inc. in Springdale and was a homemaker.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13th at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by two sons, Tim Cummings and wife Laurie of Lavaca and Robert Cummings of Charleston; two daughters, Rebekah Pierce of Charleston and Jaylynn White of the home; a sister, Betty Gregory of Fort Smith; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12th and also on Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
