Christa (Reichert) Slodek, who resided in Altus, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at her home. She was born May 17, 1939 in Mannheim, Germany to the late Carl Reichert and Paula (Heckner) Reichert. She was 74 years old.

Christa was a registered nurse at Johnson County Regional Medical Center in Clarksville and was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Pauline West of Altus; one sister, Maria Williams of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

The body will be cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 29th,  at the funeral home in Charleston.
