James Christopher "Chris" Erp, who resided in Van Buren, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, near Ozark. He was born December 2, 1957, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late James F. Erp and Joann (Marshall) Erp. He was 62 years old.

Chris used his gifts as a hospice volunteer for Heart of Hospice, formally Peachtree Hospice.

Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pam (Collier) Erp; a daughter, Destiny Brockett and husband Christopher of Ozark; his sister, Trisha Erp of Tulsa; his step-mother, Brenda Erp of Tulsa; and a grandson, Caleb Christopher Sowells of Alma.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 7th, at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation will follow after the visitation and a memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 10th, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston. Officiating the service at the cemetery will be Pastor Jim Stem.

Public viewing will begin at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
