Obituary

Chessie Lou Butler, who resided near Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, in Paris, Arkansas. She was born December 5, 1934, in Logan County, north of Caulksville, to the late Roy C. Randolph and Cora Ethel (Isaacs) Randolph. She was 82 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Butler.

Chessie was a sales clerk for the Navy Exchange and Supply Department. She also worked as a sales clerk at Sears and AC Hardware Stores. She was a 1952 graduate of County Line High School, and she was a member of Brooklyn Freewill Baptist Church near Ratcliff. Chessie will be remembered best by being the breakfast cook and baking all pies at Shane's Restaurant in Caulksville. She loved her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16th, at Brooklyn Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.L. Bonds officiating. Burial will be at Caulksville Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Bentley and husband Baffrey of Cherry Valley, California, Rhonda Savoy of Ratcliff, and Wanda Llewellyn of 29 Palms, California; one sister, Belva Lea Cole of Branch; one brother, Bill Tom Randolph of Ratcliff; (11) grandchildren, (16) great-grandchildren and (2) great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Savoy II, Noah King, Cory Llewellyn, William Randolph, Kenny Butler and Chris Butler.

Family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday night at the funeral home in Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Brooklyn Freewill Baptist Church; Ratcliff, Arkansas 72951.
