Charlie C. Franklin resided in Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born March 29, 1924 in Cecil to the late Clarence Franklin and Cenia Lane Franklin. He was 85 years old.

He worked as a service station manager in California before becoming disabled, served in the U.S. Navy and was of the Methodist faith.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at the Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; four daughters, Shirley Stoll & husband Bob, of Fort Smith, Charlotte Ramsey & husband Richard, of Cecil, Janice Robinett & husband Rick, of Russellville and Melinda Stubblefield and husband Jimmy, of Branch; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Brian and Brent Ramsey, Jason Anhalt, Ryan Robinett, Randy Harvell, Jason Hughey and Scott McCombs.

Family visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
