Carroll Dean McNutt, 67, of Paris, Arkansas, died Friday, January 1, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born April 28, 1953 in Paris. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lavelta Smith Gabbard.

Carroll Dean was a 1972 graduate of County Line High School. He worked several years at the chicken processing plant in Bloomer, and he retired from Tyson Foods in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marie Caudle McNutt; two daughters, Shana Marie Brown of Alma, and Leigh Azam of Fort Smith; one sister, Glenda Watson and husband Jim of Paris; two brothers, Roy Gabbard and wife Pat of Booneville and Lonnie Gabbard of Lamar; three grandchildren, Kameron Guess, Katelin Brown, and Madison Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
