Jess Carroll Collett, who resided near Cecil, Arkansas, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Pink Bud Nursing Center in Greenwood, Arkansas. He was born on December 1, 1937, near the Island Community in Sebastian County to the late Jess Collett and Aleen (Carroll) Collett. He was 86 years old.

Carroll was a high school graduate of Lavaca High School. He was a retired truck driver for AAA U-Rent-It, Inc. in Fort Smith, and was a member of Riverdale Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn (Hyman) Collett, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 2nd at Arbuckle Cemetery, located near Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Bro. Richard Shotzman.

Pallbearers are Bobby White, Jeffrey White, Mitchell White, Keith Sutherland, and John Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers are Roy Davis, Joe Stroub, Albert White, and Shelly Johnson.

Public viewing will be on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
