Carolyn Mary Raible, 87, of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on July 8, 1934, in Charleston to the late Jack E. Moffett and Monica (Smith) Moffett. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bob" Raible, and four brothers, Sadie Moffett, Ernest Moffett, Dennis Moffett, and her twin brother, Buddy Moffett.
Carolyn was a retired registered nurse and was Director of Nurses at Paris Retirement Center in Paris. She was a member of the Mother's Society and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston. Carolyn was a military wife for 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston with Deacon Mark Verkamp officiating.
Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston with Father Norman McFall officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James W. Raible; her children, Glen Raible and wife Cindy of North Little Rock, Susan Brown and husband Charles of Little Rock, and Sarah Griffith and husband Scott of Fort Smith and a daughter-in-law, Pam Raible, widow of Bob; eight grandchildren, Kendrick Raible, Lindsey Fairchild, David Raible, Jennifer Kaley, Erin Adams, Chris Brown, Matthew McKnight, and Samuel McKnight; and six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Cora, Benjamin, James, Landon, and Liam.
Pallbearers are Kendrick Raible, David Raible, Chris Brown, Matt McKnight, Sean Kaley, and Lance Fairchild. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Raible and Samuel McKnight.
The family will visit with friends Friday night following the rosary service at the funeral home.
