Elmer Carl Martin, Jr., who resided in Barling, died Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at his home. He was born March 21, 1968, in Van Buren, to the late Elmer Lee Martin, Sr. and Alneada Peggy Shuttle. He was 53 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Rainwater Martin; and his sisters, Marcella Withworth and Margie Links.

Carl was a member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Bloomer.

A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his companion and soul mate, Mia Riggs of Barling; one daughter, Mindy Mondragon and husband Juan of Barling; one sister, Urie Ann Jones of Fort Smith; his sister-in-law, Martha Tracy and husband Larry of Lavaca; and two grandchildren, Faith and Carlos Mondragon of Barling.
