Obituary

Candy Eileen Bennett, who resided in Wilburton, Oklahoma, died Friday, July 15, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on March 26, 1954, in Fort Smith to the late James Clarence Nolen and Ruby Ray (Hall) Nolen. She was 68 years old. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Cephus Nolen, Richard Nolen, Jim Nolen, and Luther Nolen; and a sister, Maxine Higgins.

For several years, Candy was a waitress and also worked for Toyota in San Antonio, Texas. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren, and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by a daughter, Heather Tate and husband Jeff of San Antonio; a son, Anthony Whisenhunt and wife Kendra of Wilburton; a sister, Willene Abbott of Hodgen, Oklahoma; a brother, Everett Nolen and wife Karen of Poteau, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Marisa, Ethan, Jaxton, Ezekial, Linsey, and Easton; two great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Justin; a special niece mentioned, Sherri Hough of Hodgen; and several other nieces and nephews.
