Camille "Cammie" Van Gorder, who resided near Greenwood, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 19, 2023, at her home. She was born on November 14, 1966, in Ozark, Arkansas, to the late John Joseph Van Gorder and Linda Faye (Johnson) Van Gorder. She was 57 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Luke Batey.
Cammie was a Christian. She loved her family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. John Van Gorder officiating. Burial will follow at Island Cemetery, located on Hwy. 96 east of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Clark of Greenwood; two sons, Alex Batey and wife Megan of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Jeramy Batey and wife Ta-Ni-Mara of Enid, Oklahoma; two sisters, Stacey Van Gorder of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Susan Matthews and husband Tim of Lavaca; a brother, John Van Gorder and wife Donna of Greenwood; ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Tim Matthews, Randy Smith, Kyler Smith, Joe Barron, Alex Batey, Jeramy Batey, Stacey Van Gorder, and Susan Matthews.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24th at the funeral home.
