Butch Knotts, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born September 24, 1960, in Decatur, Illinois. He was 56 years old. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clayton E. and Phyllis (Auten) Leigh.

A family held memorial will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by two daughters, Nicole Ruple and husband Bryan of Illinois and Sonya Knotts of Arizona; one son, B.J. Knotts and wife Jessica of Arizona; three sisters, Viola Jones of Illinois, Wilma Byrd and husband Tommy of Charleston and Ruth Parkhurst and husband Carl of Illinois; one brother, Oliver Knotts of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews that's going to miss him dearly.
