Obituary

Furman Ray "Bud" Allred, who resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, in Russellville, Arkansas. He was born November 21, 1949, in Conroe, Texas, to the late Furman Ernest Allred and Ethel Louise (McNeese) Allred. He was 68 years old. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Mae (Curtis) Allred; an infant son, Ronnie Allred, and a sister, Pamela Allred.

Bud was a retired U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam and serving over twenty years in the U.S. Army. Bud was awarded numerous decorations, medals, badges, citations and campaign ribbons while serving in the U.S. Army.

Graveside service, with full military honors, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9th, at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Angelo Florenciano.

He is survived by a son, Steven Allred of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; five sisters, Julie O'Connor and spouse Connie of Helena, Montana, Kathy Howell and husband Sam of Clarksville, Dixie Carman of Wichita, Kansas, Marsha Farmer and husband Charlie of White Water, Kansas, and Pat Robertson and husband Randy of Russellville; four brothers, Paul Allred of Louisiana, John Allred and wife Carol of Springdale, Cecil Allred and wife Kathy of Batesville, and James Allred and wife Louise of Dover; a special friend, Brenda Jackson of New Blaine; several grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home in Paris.
