Bruce William Bennett, who resided near Paris, Arkansas. died Friday, October 6, 2023, at Methodist Health & Rehab in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on April 19, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was 69 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Herman Bennett and Margaret Ann (Chiaborel) Bennett.

Bruce was a retired train engineer for Arkansas & Missouri Railroad. He served 50 years in Boy Scouts of America, member of the Railroad Association, president of the Resident Council at Methodist Health & Rehab, and he was of the Catholic faith.

A family held memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m, Monday, October 16th at Camp Orr near Harrison, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Davidson) Bennett; four daughters, Vicki Russell, Leslie Bennett, Alicia Breedlove, and Vanessa Arnold; two sons, James Carter, Jr., and Jason Bennett; (7) grandchildren; and (3) great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
