Brenda A. Helton

Brenda A. Helton of Paris, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Mercy in Fort Smith. She was born on June 26, 1949, in Ozark, Arkansas, to the late James Harvey Maier and Floy Louise (Williams) Maier. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin infant daughters, Angela Kaye and Deborah Faye.

Brenda was a cna and a seamstress at Paris Pants Factory and at Lady Fair Mills in Ratcliff. She was a graduate of Magazine High School and a member of the Paris Christian Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Samples of Fort Smith; two sons, Brian Helton and wife Allison and Joseph Helton, all of Paris; a sister, Cheryl Kiger and husband Jim of Lavaca; two brothers, Jeff Hayes of Harrison and Marc Hayes of Saint Joe, Arkansas; five grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
