Obituary

Brandi Lin Walker of Poteau, Oklahoma, entered the Pearly Gates of Heaven on February 1, 2024 at 11:01 p.m., at Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  Brandi was born at the LeFlore County Hospital in Poteau, Oklahoma on June 7,1983 to Ira Walker and Glenda Walker of Monroe, Oklahoma. Proceeding in passing from this life were her maternal grandparents, Marlin Truman and Dorothy Helen (Urchison) Riggs of Monroe and paternal grandparents, Bill Walker and Ocie Walker of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Brandi left behind her father, Ira Walker; her mother, Glenda Riggs; her sister, Kirbi Walker and children, Blayn Bryant, Kily Schlosser, Tucker Bryant and Luka Bryant of Keota Oklahoma and sister, Aftan Davis and children, Ameera Davis, Korbin Davis, Kaimon Davis, Alijah Johnson and Graceline Johnson of Spiro, Oklahoma.

Brandi graduated grade school in Monroe, Oklahoma and Poteau High School, class of 2003. Brandi loved crafts, especially yarn crafts and making gifts for others. Brandi loved vintage automobiles as well as many antiques, rock collecting, going on road trips, using her metal detector, and having large collections of things that interested her as rocks, fossils, Cabbage Patch kids, stuffed animals.  Brandi was an avid reader on things that interest her and could tell every detail about the subject such as Bell Star, Billy the Kid, Hatfield and McCoys and much more.  When Covid came out, she kept a look out for family members on a daily basis and could quote the death toll each day for Oklahoma. Brandi practiced safety and never contracted Covid.  Brandi especially loved her nieces and nephews. Brandi was of Christian Faith, loved the Lord and learning about the Bible. A couple of weeks before she went into the hospital; Brandi had asked her daddy if he ever wondered what Heaven looked like. She was ready to enter Heaven with a smile on her face to see the beauty that God has for us and those that believe.
