Boniface J. Bauer resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in Fort Smith. He was born October 16, 1914 at Morrison Bluff, Arkansas in Logan County to the late John Bauer and Katie Buergier Bauer. He was 94 years old.

He was a retired farmer, an Army veteran of WWII and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Ratcliff.

Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday night at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2009, at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Ratcliff, with a 2:00 p.m. "Graveside Service" with military honors, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by one sister, Catherine Walbe of Friendswood, Texas; one brother, John Bauer of Fort Smith and several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be his nieces & nephews, Mary Heiss, Sharon Lamb, Mary Catherine Schluterman, Reba Pridgin, Elaine Bauer, Victor Schluterman, Don Collins, and Richard Bauer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the St. Anthony's Catholic Church @ P.O. Box 298 Booneville, AR. 72927-0298; ATTN: Father Don Tranel.
