Obituary
Bobby Joe Smithson Sr. resided at Lavaca, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, August 29, 2008, in Lavaca. He was born December 19, 1939 in Lavaca to James Grady Smithson and Wanda Jean O'Dell Smithson. He was 68 years old. He was a retired roofer for the Dale Crampton Company in Fort Smith and attended the Union Baptist Church near Lavaca. His body will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
He is survived by his wife, Savannah Smithson, of the home; one daughter, Donna Hatter of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; one son, Bobby Joe Smithson Jr. of Lavaca; his mother, Jean Smithson of Charleston; one sister, Joy Saucier of Lavaca; four brothers, Myrle, Rev. Curtis, Frankie, and Jimmy Smithson, all of Lavaca and two grandchildren, Kayla & Kaleb.
