Bobby Gene Morris of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 6, 1942, near Lavaca, Arkansas, to the late Eugene Morris and Gladys Floyd Morris. He was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice (Dunn) Morris; a son, Terry Morris; and two daughters,Tammy Morris and Tonya Morris.

Bobby was a graduate of Lavaca High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired butcher. For several years, he worked at the Charleston Food Center in Charleston and later for Kroger and Harps Foods. He was a Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge, and member of Grand Ave. Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 28th at Hickory Ridge Cemetery, located northwest of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by a son, Robert Morris of Van Buren, and a sister, Marilyn Storey of Charleston.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Russell, Dewayne Glidewell, June Roberts, Glen Morris, Shane Storey, and Ty Storey.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
