Obituary

Robert Wayne Goodwin, better known as Bobby 'G', of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born December 11, 1944, in Fort Smith, to the late Norman Norfleet Goodwin and Mary Frances Kennedy Goodwin. He was 76 years old.

Bobby 'G' was a licensed cosmetologist and was owner and operator of Get A Hair Cut Now.Com in Fort Smith. He was a graduate of Cosmetology College in California and he attended Central Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith. For 22 years, Bobby 'G' was a road musician and lead singer for different Rhythm and Blues Bands like the Bosco's and the Chontel's. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

A "Celebration of Life" will take place on Saturday, July 17th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at his residence on 617 Lecta Ave. in Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karla (Durham) Goodwin; his children, Heather Heavens, Greg Cassini, and Gary Whittington; a step-son, Michael Greenfield and wife Beth; five brothers, James, Michael "Zeke", Gary Paul, Don, and Larry Goodwin; and several grandchildren.
