Obituary

Marion Clark "Bob" Reed, who resided near Paris, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born June 30, 1931, near Ratcliff, Arkansas in Franklin County to the late Bon D. Reed and Verna A. (Nunn) Reed. He was 87 years old. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred O'Neal and Hilda Jane Brewer; and two brothers, Dale Reed and Lyndal Reed.

Bob was a self-employed sheet rocker and home builder. He was a cattleman, a farmer, a jack of all trades, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Bob loved playing cards, sitting at the round table with all the guys at Shane's Restaurant in Caulksville, and was a big supporter of the County Line Indians.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Vicki (O'Hair) Reed; two daughters, Brenda Cooper and husband Michael of LaFayette, Georgia and Heather Appleton and husband Kyle of Paris; two sons,  Randy Reed and wife Margie of Semmes, Alabama and Chris Reed and wife Kacey of Jonesboro; one brother, Bill Reed and wife Wanda of Midwest City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night, August 13th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

There will not be a funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made in Bob's name to the charity of one's choice.
