Billy Joe Stovall, who resided in the Carbon City Community near Paris, Arkansas, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at his home. He was born on November 22, 1953, in Paris to the late Joseph William Stovall and Leona Pearl McNeley Stovall. He was 68 years old. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Lewis.

Billy was a disabled U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran.

A family held memorial service will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene (Poe) Stovall; four daughters, Shannon Burleson and husband Josh of Charleston, Daanna Beaver and husband Jamey of Mountainburg, Crystal Rhoades of Fort Smith, and Vanessa Lane and husband Nathan of Paris; one son, Wayne Lewis and wife Kelsey of Paris; (18) grandchildren and(12) great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
