Obituary

Billy Ray Luckenbaugh, who resided in Bloomer, died Sunday morning, July 25, 2021, from an automobile accident in Mena, Arkansas. He was born July 16, 1965, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Bobby Lee Luckenbaugh and Tonie May Carter Luckenbaugh. He was 56 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Wayne Luckenbaugh, and his uncle, Wayne Carter.

Bill was a graduate of Charleston High School. He worked for Ringgold & Son Rodeo Company, Wing Rodeo Company, Outlaw J Productions, Jack-Up Productions, and was a former employee of J-N Rodeo Company, former employee of the Fort Smith Livestock Auction and County Line Sale Barn, and worked several years for the Billy Hall Andrews and Lowrey Rodeo Company. Bill was a member of the Cowboy's Regional Rodeo Association, and currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Greenwood Riding Club. Bill was also a former member of the Arkansas Rodeo Association. Bill loved his family and rodeo family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31st, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Mr. Kirby Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. "There will not be a committal service held at the cemetery."

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Gipson of Bloomer; his niece, April Qualls and husband Keinnan of Hindsville, Arkansas; his nephew, Dusty Luckenbaugh and wife Melissa of Burleson, Texas; three great- nieces, Kambryia Qualls, Kaylin Luckenbaugh, and Rylee Luckenbaugh; one great-nephew, Easton Qualls.

Pallbearers are Brad Ringgold, J. Todd Ringgold, Justin Fisher, Payden Franks, Tyrell Miles, and Tell Evans.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the Bill Luckenbaugh family asked donations be made to "Bill Luckenbaugh Funeral Expense Account" at Farmers Bank in Greenwood.
