Billy Ervin Ashby, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was born on January 19, 1950, in the small town of Menard, Texas, to the late Seth Ervin Ashby and Mabel Ion (Davis) Ashby. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane Ashby.

Billy spent the majority of his life workin in the oil fields all over Texas and fishing as much as possible in his spare time.

Out of respect for Billy's wishes, no services will be held.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kay (Vogle) Ashby; a son, James and wife Anita; a daughter, Cindy; a grandson, Dru; and a granddaughter, Addison.
