Rev. Bill J. Wilson, who resided in Dardanelle, Arkansas, formerly of Charleston, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Danville. He was born July 28, 1929 in Galena, Missouri to the late Roscoe V. Wilson and Golda (Medlin) Wilson. He was 83 years old.
Rev. Wilson was a retired Minister of the Gospel of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was also conference superintendent for 15 years over the International Pentecostal Holiness Church in Northern California and founded Mission Valley Church in Fremont, California.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Pastor Jim Benfer and Dr. Frank Tunstall officiating. Burial will be at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie Mae; one daughter, Karen Hinshaw and husband Gary of Dardanelle; one son, Vern Wilson of Rogers; daughter-in-law, Ann Wilson of Charleston; one sister, Ida Swearingen of Huntington Beach, California; one brother, Loyd J. Wilson of Modesto, California; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandsons.
Pallbearers will be D.C. Holden, Hugh Holden, Mark Martin, Mike Heffley, Don Dakes, and Mike Carson.
Family will visit with friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home in Paris.
