Beverly Nell Newton of Charleston, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at her home. She was born on March 29, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James Robert Shaw and Patsy Ruth (Woods) Shaw. She was almost 66 years old. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; and two brothers, John Shaw and Jimmy Shaw.

Beverly was a 1975 graduate of Charleston High School. She was a retired forklift operator for Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith for over 30 years and was of the Free Will Baptist faith.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 23rd at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jackie Brown.

She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Davis and husband Derek of Alma and Chelsey Johnson and husband Clinton of Nashville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Parker Davis and Julian Johnson. Beverly had several special close friends and were also considered her family.

Pallbearers are Derek Davis, Clinton Johnson, Julian Johnson, Spencer Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Andy Stubblefield, and Tom Conway.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
