Obituary

Beulah Mae Stubblefield of Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at her home. She was born on March 22, 1928, in Cecil to the late Samuel Mantooth and Mattie (Hays) Mantooth. She was 95 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.T. "Tottie" Stubblefield; a son, Ronnie Dale Stubblefield; and sisters, Inez Mantooth, Grace Tate, Shirley Ingram, Jeannie Baker, and Gladys Thornton.

In the late 1970's, Beulah was a cook at the officer's mess hall on Fort Chaffee. Along with her husband Tottie, she was a dairyman, farmer, and had a large peach orchard, where they grew and sold peaches. Beulah was a great cook, loved to play Rook, working in her garden and growing flowers. She was a faithful member of Cecil United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 4th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Bill VanMeter and Rev. Dale Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Lowes Creek Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Sutherland of Hot Springs; two sons, Gary Stubblefield and wife Kathi and Jimmy Stubblefield and wife Melinda, all of Branch; a sister, Louise Tate of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; (9) grandchildren; (21) great-grandchildren; and (3) great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Pallbearers are Marshall Speer, Tyler Stubblefield, Dagon McCombs, Jordan Sullivan, Jason Hughey, and Blake Becker.

The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday an hour prior to the funeral service.
