Betty Sue Moffet, who resided in Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, in Scranton. She was born on November 2, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to the late Cecil Merle Swanson and Ella Reba (Reynolds) Swanson. She was 63 years old. She was preceded in death by a brother, Argel Barrett.

She was a homemaker, wife, mom, granny, and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Paris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 29th at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. Nate Willcutt officiating. Burial will follow at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Moffet of the home; a son, Timothy Lee Moffet Jr. of Scranton; a daughter, Lynda Lee Gossow and husband Chuck of Scranton; three brothers, Gerald Miles of Greenville, Texas, Ray Barrett of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and Cecil Swanson of Iowa; eight sisters, Linda Merle Dossey of Texarkana, Tiny Dossey of Texarkana, Freda Carter of Ashdown, Marty Spears of Fayetteville, Frankie Davis of Paris, Susie Robinson of Paris, Dana Ross of Nebraska and Rena Toney of Louisiana; five grandchildren, Cody Moffet, Lyndsey Hurst, McKenna Hurst, Mason Moffet, and Ashlynn Dillard; five great-grandchildren, Azlee Young, Azpyn Young, MaLeiah Foster, Addy Duvall, and Kamry Moffet.

Pallbearers will be Mason Moffet, Mike Moffet, Marvin Moffet, Cody Moffet, Alex Young, and J.T. Musgrove. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Parsons and Steve Moffet.

The family will visit with friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
