Obituary

Betty Jean Franklin, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, formerly of Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 21, 1930, in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Frank Sisco and Irene (Prather) Sisco. She was 86 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Franklin; two sisters, Frankie "Bumpy" Withers and Patsy Elam; two brothers, Jimmy and Don Sisco; and one great great-grandson, Cason Stubblefield.

Betty was a homemaker and she was a member of Cecil First United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19th, at Cecil First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Eubanks and Rev. Andy Newbill officiating. Burial will be at Cecil Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her four daughters, Shirley Stoll and husband Bob of Fort Smith, Charlotte Ramsey and husband Richard of Cecil, Janice Robinett and husband Rick of Russellville, and Melinda Stubblefield and husband Jimmy of Branch; two sisters, Sue Cook of Texarkana, Texas and Linda Cowling of Ashdown, Arkansas; (8) grandchildren and (11) great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ramsey, Brent Ramsey, Jason Anhalt, Ryan Robinett, Tyler Stubblefield, Dagon McCombs, Dillon Ramsey, and Wyatt Harvell.
