Betty Lou Bernard resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Paris Health & Rehab Center. She was born December 30, 1931 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to the late Emmett Jones and Mamie Selvidge Jones. She was 77 years old.

She was a retired Housekeeping Supervisor.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Bernard; two sons, Jackie & John Bernard; two brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, with Mr. Kevin Heavin officiating, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by five sisters, Wilma Gibson of Livermore, California, Phyllis Beason of Sonara, California, Dolly Mosley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sue Cooper of Paris and Carolyn Dickson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; two brothers, John Jones of Paris and Jack Jones of Branch; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
