Bernard F. Forst, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, died Monday, July 26, 2021, at his home. He was born December 24, 1939, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Michael Ben Forst and Freda (Borgerding) Forst. He was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Adolf Forst, and a sister, Margaret Enderlin.
Bernie served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired truck driver for Hickory Springs, and member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Ratcliff.
Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 th , at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Deacon Kenny Stengel officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the rosary service.
Funeral mass service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30 th , at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Ratcliff. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Ratcliff, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Officiating the service will be Father Norman McFall.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Soller) Forst of Ratcliff; his daughter, Becky Forst of Magazine; two sons, Peter Forst and wife Allison of Pensacola, Florida, and Paul Forst and wife Jody of Paris; two sisters, Maria Francesca Forst of Oklahoma City and Hilda Spahn of Van Buren; two brothers, Jerome Forst and wife Delores of Subiaco and Herman Forst of Subiaco; seven grandchildren, Taylor Forst, Savanna Wewers, Dakota Forst, James Pettigrew, Kristian Noyes, Casen Forst and Sidney Forst and seven great-grandchildren, Adaleigh Wewers, Cohen Wewers, Heston Forst, Emma Rogers Jaxon Rogers, Gabriella Noyes and Zander Inda.
Pallbearers are Jerry Spahn, Ronnie Forst, Steve Forst, Casen Forst, Braden Canada and Dakota Forst. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Wilhem, Johnny Greb and James Pettigrew.
