Obituary

Bennett Aubry Bowerman, who resided in the Paint Rock Community near Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his home. He was born January 29, 1939 in Paris to the late E.C. Bowerman and Linnie (Walker) Bowerman. He was 76 years old. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Billie Lou (Robinson) Bowerman; one daughter, Melinda Bowerman; one son, Eugene Bowerman; one sister, Betty Boyles; and two brothers, John Bowerman and Gene Harper.

Bennett was a retired carpenter and a retired school bus driver for the Magazine School District. He loved coon hunting, gardening, and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with the Rev. Randy Cothron officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by one daughter, Mona Bassler of Paris; one son, Charles Bowerman and wife Brenda of Paris; two sisters, Laura White of Sugar Land, Texas and Hilda Jo Boyer of Little Rock; (11) grandchildren and (22) great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Henry Farley, Dennis Miller, Wayne Preston, David Rieder, Sam Yoder, and Bill Young.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Bridges, Chris Boss, Adolf Forst, Tinker Ludwick, Jim Richardson, John Farley, Darrell Krigbaum, Montana Cowan, Lee Myers, and his grandsons.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
