Barbara Jean Plunkett of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Select Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on December 21, 1939, in Charleston to the late Otis Lee Nunnelee and Ethel (St. Clair) Nunnelee. She was 82 years old.

Barbara was a retired inspector for 29 years at Planters Peanuts in Fort Smith, and attended County Line High School near Ratcliff, Class of 1957.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Vondal Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by a son, Randy Meyer; two sisters, Mary Herring of Dyer and Diana Moudy and husband Ronny of Barling; three nieces, Debbie Winstead, Pam Holmes, and LaTonya Cotten; one nephew, Shannon Moudy; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers are Jeff Winstead, Andrew Winstead, Shannon Moudy, Caleb Dobbins, Moudy Stolz, and John Cotten.

The family will visit with friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
