Barbara Fern Betancourt, who resided in Van Buren, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at her home. She was born June 19, 1935, in Moffett, Oklahoma, to the late Frederick Krumsick and Alice Cooper Krumsick. She was 84 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Betancourt; two children, Penny Dodson and Derek Betancourt.

Barbara retired from the Dollar General Store, and she attended Seventh Day Church of God. She'll always be in our hearts, and we will miss her dearly.

Memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 26th, at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith.

She leaves behind four children, Janet Ferrell of Uniontown, LaWana Betancourt of Grand Prairie, Texas, Barry Betancourt of Muldrow and Larry Betancourt of Van Buren; (21) grandchildren and (18) great-grandchildren.
