Anthony Francis Classen, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born July 14, 1926 in Charleston to the late Louis Nicholas Classen and Kate (Adams) Classen. He was 88 years old. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deloris (Haney) Classen; four sisters and four brothers.

Tony was a 26 year retired U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. After his retirement, he went to work at Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith for 18 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston.

Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston. Burial with "Full Military Honors" will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Doss of Central City and Loretta Smithson of Fayetteville; two sons, Phillip Classen of Miami Beach, Florida and John D. Classen and wife Jane of Charleston; one sister, Loretta Weber of Portland, Oregon; one brother, Al Classen of Vancouver, Washington; six grandchildren, Amanda, James, Derek, Eric, Sarah, and Ashley; six great-grandchildren, Brookelyn, Grant, Maddie, Lilly, Weston, Paisley, and Easton.

Pallbearers will be Bill Schmalz, Duane Schmalz, Steve Haney, David Haney, John Huck, Jr., and Eric Smithson.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Nietert, Derek Nietert, Billy Rogers, John Huck, Sr., Gene Huck, Stephen Huck, and Jamie Huck.

Family will visit with friends following the rosary service.
