Anna Louise Williams Leagans, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 11, 1936, in Franklin County to the late Jacob Rietman and Edna (Dennis) Rietman. She was 81 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Ray Williams; one son, Ronnie Williams; and a daughter, Angela Williams.
Anna was a homemaker. She worked many years ago for Tyson at the chicken plant in Bloomer. She also became a certified nursing assistant (CNA), was a 4-H Club leader, loved gardening, member of the Mother's Society, and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston.
Rosary service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 25th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Deacon Mark Verkamp officiating.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, with Deacon Mark Verkamp officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Jones of Lavaca, Paulette Franklin of Van Buren, and Pam Lemus of Fort Smith; three sons, Harold Williams and wife Cathy of Lavaca, Anthony Williams of Charleston and John Williams and wife Kim of Charleston; two step-daughters, Diana Townsend and husband Timmy of Cedarville and Teresa Leagans of Fayetteville; one step-son, Kevin Leagans and wife Starlene of Van Buren; one sister, Aleta Meadows of Fort Smith; (17) grandchildren, (27) great-grandchildren, and (1) great-great-grandson; (5) step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Williams, Dustin Williams, Jeffery Williams, Nick Williams, Larry Manes, Jr., and Kevin Leagans.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Ivan Cruz, Rick Dotson, Matthew Bridges, Josh Williams, Joseph Williams and Jonathon Williams.
The family will visit with friends following the rosary service Friday night at the funeral home.
