Obituary

Anna Kay Mushaney of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Chapel Ridge Nursing Center in Fort Smith. She was born on January 2, 1945, in the Arbuckle Community near Lavaca, Arkansas, to the late Audie Douglas and Kathleen Martin Douglas. She was 78 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kenneth Mushaney.

Anna was a 1963 graduate of Fort Smith Northside High School. For several years, Anna was a waitress and also worked at Walmart.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 13th at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, with Pastor Kyle Horton officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by two sisters, Sue Bly and husband Lawrence of Fort Smith and Bonnie Douglas of Fort Smith; a brother, Dwight Douglas of Fort Smith; a special great-niece, Haley of Fort Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
