Obituary

Ann Marie Hamby left this world and was embraced by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 5th, 2021.  She had looked forward to this moment every day of her life, and endeavored to live as Christ-like as she possibly could.

She wasn't the normal preacher's wife or parent one would normally expect, i.e. prim, proper, and prude.  She was the complete opposite.  She was REAL!  What you see is what you got.

No fancy clothes, jewelry, or worldly possessions.  In fact, she took great joy in giving everything she had to others.  Most importantly she gave of herself.  She prayed nonstop for her family, friends, and even politicians.

In fact, at age 75 she was banned from social media for her well-voiced beliefs. She took great pride in this accomplishment, as she expressed her displeasure as to how evil the world was evolving, pushing Christ out of our lives, through the government, and especially through the media.

This great woman leaves a legacy, which she led by example, and which she vowed would change the world in miraculous ways.  She leaves as her ambassadors, to continue her works of faith, her son Michael Hamby and wife Genia of Greenwood, AR; her daughter, Kimberly Gavin of Tucson, AZ; her son Russell Hamby and wife Martha of Greensboro, NC and daughter Tammy Irons of Van Buren, AR; as well as 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and a nephew as well as many friends whose lives she touched and which she considered family.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 10th at the Bethel Baptist Church in Potter, AR which she loved dearly.  A reception will be held immediately after for those who wish to attend.  Ann asked that in lieu of flowers, donate bubbles, play dough, balloons and M&M's to all children, no matter their age, in attendance at the reception.

Cremation services and arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston, 32117 W. Hwy. 22 Charleston, AR  72933. (479) 965-8202
