Andrew Jackson Shinault of Charleston, Arkansas, formerly of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was born March 16, 1930 in Marlow, Oklahoma to the late William Alfred Shinault and Nora Ellen (Roberts) Shinault. He was 82 years old.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Pauline Shinault; three sisters, Clorene Mize, Florence Horton, and Viola Wilson and two brothers, James Shinault and William "Bill" Shinault.
Andrew was a retired police officer in Arizona and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greenwood.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11th, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greenwood. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. "Graveside Service" at Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe, Oklahoma, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Sumida and husband Gregory of Stockton, California; one son, James Shinault and wife Nancy of Brigham City, Utah; one sister, Edith Nichols of Silver Lake, Kansas; three grandchildren, Robert Shinault, James Shinault, and Melissa Sumida; three great-grandchildren.
