Obituary

Amos Elmer Perkins resided in Caulksville, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at his home. He was born March 2, 1940 in Pocola, Oklahoma to the late Billy Perkins and Bertha Blair Perkins. He was 69 years old.

He was a cowboy, shoed horses and was a member of the Quarter Horse Association.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

His body will be cremated following the funeral service.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Perkins, of the home; seven daughters, Patti Sammons of Whitesboro, TX, Marilyn Baxter of Spiro, OK, Hutch Perry of Keota, OK, Amie Perkins of Hartman, Anna Atherton of Charleston, Sheila Coker of Spiro, OK, and Kim Lawson of Keota, OK; nine sons, Jeffery Perkins of Sadler, TX, Randy Perkins of Leonard, TX, Danny Perkins of Gunter, TX, Terry Huff of Magazine, John Massey of Caulksville, Steve Coker of Antlers, OK, Tommy Coker of Spiro, OK, Deon Coker of Antlers, OK, and Wayne Dix of Keota, OK; two sisters, Anna Rush and Esta Sanders, both of Pocola, OK; one brother, Howard Perkins of Pocola, OK; (56) grandchildren and (5) great grandchildren.
