Obituary

Alvetta Ann Wipf, who resided in Barling, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was born August 29, 1948 in Paris, Arkansas to the late John Omer Fowler and Jewel Loray (Everett) Fowler. She was 68 years old. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lee Fowler; and one sister, Glenda Beene.

Alvetta was self-employed and co-owner of Twin Burgers Drive In in Fort Smith, and she was a member of First Baptist Church Barling.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9th, at First Baptist Church in Barling, with Dr. Neal Prock officiating. Burial will be at Infant Cemetery, located south of Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Charleston.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Delbert Wipf; her son, Michael Wipf of Barling; two sisters, Judy Avery and husband John of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Johna Gaddis and husband Steve of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Crosslin, Steve Gaddis, Richard Weaver, John Avery, Steve Jeffcoat and Don Smith.

Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Fowler.

Open visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8th, at the funeral home.
