Obituary

Alice E. Hyman resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born February 9, 1918 in the Ursula Community in Sebastian County to the late R.A. Jetton and Myrtle C. (Sutherland) Jetton. She was 93 years old.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Newton L. Hyman, and three brothers and two sisters.

Alice was a homemaker and member of the Bloomer Baptist Church. She loved working in her yard, growing flowers, and gardening.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 23rd at Hickory Ridge Cemetery, northwest of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be the Rev. Richard Goodrum.

She is survived by three daughters, Robbie Phillips of Bloomer, Clide Lee "Pete" Howell and husband Bill of Lavaca, and Carolyn Collett and husband Carroll of Cecil; one son, Gerald N. Hyman and wife Stephanie of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
