Obituary

Alfred Landon "Alf" Dow, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born December 5, 1936 in Charleston, Arkansas to the late Oscar C. Dow and Bonnie E. (Milam) Dow. He was 79 years old. He was also preceded in death by his brother, J.C. Dow; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Mantooth.

Alf worked for over 30 years at the Bloomer Chicken Plant. He was a retired farm supervisor for Cargill Turkey Farm in Ozark, and he was a member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church near Bloomer.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating. The body will be cremated following the service. Burial of cremains will be at Crossno Cemetery, located south of Ozark, at a later date. Services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wilma (Van Cleave) Dow; one daughter, Yolanda "Yonnie" Perry of Vilonia; two sons, Bobby Dow and wife Tammy of Branch and Ralph "Boomer" Dow and wife Deborah of Ratcliff; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Soller, Red Armstrong, Nathan Harrell, Tim Herrin, Steven Phillips, Mark Schmalz, Gary Ruloph, and Jackie Hice.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
