Alexander MacLean, III, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born March 9, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Alexander MacLean, II and Berniece Shirley (Vance) MacLean. He was 73 years old. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wayne (Benigar) MacLean and his brother, Roger MacLean.
Alex was a retired mechanical engineer at Cloyes Gear Company in Paris.
Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23rd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Ernie Aldridge.
The body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by three daughters, Heather Rutter of Charleston, Cassandra Stober and husband Eric of Flower Mound, Texas, and Samantha Sowersby and husband Joseph of Mannford, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Andrew Rutter, Alex Rutter, Nickolas Rutter, Ashleigh Williams, Chase Stober, and Reagan Stober.
