Albert William "Sonny" Terry, who resided in Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, in Paris. He was born January 18, 1930, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Lester Terry and Dicie (Lumpkins) Terry. He was 88 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Brown) Terry; a son, Larry Wayne Terry; two sisters, Linda and Donna; and two brothers, Harold and Jim.
Sonny was a retired line operator for General Motors in Kansas City, Missouri. He loved to hunt and fish, and he was a member of Scranton Holiness Church.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19th, at Scranton Holiness Church in Scranton, with Bro. Bryan Tinnin and Bro. Franklin Piercey officiating. Burial will be at McKendree Cemetery, located north of Subiaco, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Terry and wife Nancy of Scranton and Steven Terry of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; two daughters, Jeannette Gilmore of Paris and Dwan Friemel and husband Joey of Paris; two brothers, Claude Terry of Pea Ridge and Jerry Terry and wife Carolyn of Greenbrier; one sister, Shirley Ralston of Pea Ridge; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Terry, Rick Terry, David Terry, Steve Terry, David Gilmore, Gary Lensing, and Cody Alexander.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
