Ada Elizabeth Law, who resided in the Peter Pender Community, died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on December 20, 1929, in Fort Smith to the late James Henry Irvin and Dewey Hazel (Abernathy) Irvin. She was 93 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mayo Kesner Law; a sister, June McFerran; and a great-grandson, Judah Law.
Ada Beth was a retired farmer and faithful member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved her family very much and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 2nd at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow at Lowes Creek Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by her children, Pam VanMeter and husband Bill, Mike Law and wife Carolyn, and Jan Trusty and husband Randy, all of Charleston; six grandchildren, Erin Gattis, Derek Law, Cory VanMeter, Brant Law, Chase Law, and Kaitlyn Turner; one step-granddaughter, Rachel LaRue; twelve great-grandchildren, Justin Gattis, Trent Gattis, Gage Gattis, Gabe Law, Luke Law, Liv Law, August Law, Kolten LaRue, Owen VanMeter, Lawson Turner, Harley LaRue, and Mary Claire Law.
Pallbearers are Derek Law, Brant Law, Chase Law, Cory VanMeter, Jarrett Turner, and Taylor Gattis.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2 Ratcliff, AR 72951.
